Dr. Michael Turvey is a Professor of Psychology at the Univesity of
Connecticut and a Research Associate at Haskins Laboratories. Trained at
Loughborough College and Ohio State University, Dr. Turvey has received a
Guggenheim Fellowship Award, an honorary doctorate from the Free University, and
numerous awards for teaching excellence. His research interests are in
perception and action, reading and language. Dr. Turvey is on the editorial
boards of numerous journals and has hundreds of publications in books and
peer-reviewed journals.
